SPECIALIZED MRI

Imaging, Services & Procedures

Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, uses a combination of magnetic fields, radio waves, and powerful computers to generate an image for a radiologist or your physician to view. These can be digitally on a computer screen or printed onto film. MRI is completely non-invasive and painless and does not use radiation as with x-ray or CT scanning. The use of an MRI can reduce the need for exploratory surgery, as the physician is able to see important clinical information through this diagnostic imaging.

Man Undergoing MRI — Mesa, AZ — Arista Medical Imaging

Mesa Location Imaging Services | Open MRIs and Ultrasounds

At Arista Medical Imaging Mesa, we offer the use of an open MRI, which can significantly reduce the instances of claustrophobia that can be associated with a traditional, closed MRI. Open MRI units are generally quieter, more comfortable, and have more open space than a closed MRI, and still produce excellent, high-quality images.

Also available at our Mesa location, ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to provide a view inside of the body. What makes this type of imaging unique is that it is captured in real-time, showing movement of the internal organs and blood flowing inside of the vessels. Ultrasound technology is a critical imaging tool used to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a range of medical conditions, from issues of the heart, bones, or tissues.

Paradise Valley Imaging Services | High-Field MRIs

The term "High-Field MRI" correlates with the strength of the MRI magnet and its sensitivity to pick up on details during your scan. While the concept is the same as an open MRI machine, the high-field machine captures smaller details in higher resolution and can be conducted in a shorter amount of time than an open scanner. Available at our Paradise Valley location, this tool provides doctors and diagnostic teams a better view at the area being scanned and can be a powerful tool in evaluating, diagnosing, and measuring progress for a variety of medical conditions.
